You've seen those headlines, but whether you
are an athlete who is carrying a few pounds extra or a sedentary
person fighting a bigger battle, you should know that
you never really had a chance.
Sure, we're all responsible for what we put into our mouth.
Deciding on a donut or an apple is up to us, but the truth is
that the government's food pyramid is more accurately a feed
lot pyramid and better designed to put weight on. Even
if you ate perfectly according to what the government tells you
to eat, you were doomed from the start. Check out the excellent

Most food manufacturer's spend millions
pumping you with the desire to buy and eat yummy foods that
unfortunately are garbage for your body. Prepackaged,
processed, denatured, pasteurized, irradiated, genetically
modified; these must be okay to eat and healthy, otherwise the
government wouldn't allow them on the shelf, right? Wrong. Did
you know that there are 3,000 chemicals on a list at the FDA
called, GRAS or Generally Accepted at Safe? The FDA
allows the food manufactures to provide their own research
saying that the chemical they want to add is safe. They are
only removed when problems and complaints grow big enough, yet
even that isn't enough when the money is big. Aspartame is
responsible for 85% of all the food related complaints to the
FDA. Plenty of research shows it dangerous yet Aspartame
(NutraSweet) still shows up everywhere. Go to

Nutrition is never taught in schools, in
fact medical doctors traditionally get one day on
nutrition! Pharmaceutical companies that now fund 60% of a
doctor's education don't want to change that either. Just think
what would happen if the general public, now spending an average
of $4,000 per year per person on drugs, found out that the foods
they ate would make them healthy and not their magical pill.
You've been lied to, manipulated and
corralled into spending your money on foods that actually make
you crave more. Did you know that there are fifty-one
nutrients that need to be present in food before your Appestat
(the area in the brain that is believed to regulate appetite and
food intake) will register satiety?
Food scientists create combinations that
actually leave you craving more, irregardless of how much you've
eaten. Feeling manipulated?
You should!
When you take a step back and look at the
situation from a bird's eye, you will realize that your weight
issue is not your own inability to control your eating. You've
actually been caught up in a massive pandemic crisis and I'm
going to prove it to you. The
Center for Disease Control has maintained a system of tracking
data since 1985. BRFSS, or the Behavioral Risk Factor
Surveillance System shows clearly
that:

During
the past 20 years there has been a dramatic increase in
obesity in the United States.
-
In 1985 only a few states
were participating in CDC's BRFSS and tracking obesity data.
-
By
1991, four states had obesity prevalence rates of 15-19
percent and no states had rates at or above 20
percent.
-
In 2003, 15 states had
prevalence rates of 15-19 percent; 31 states had rates of
20-24 percent; and
4 states had rates more than
25 percent!
Take a
moment and view these graphics from the CDC. Click through the
charts
using the arrows under them and you will clearly see that weight
gain has grown steadily since 1985. This was right about
the time you started getting pumped with millions of dollars in
advertising about eating wrong and food manufactures stepped in
with solutions. The media scared us and then guess what
started appearing on the shelf? Low-fat, low cholesterol,
good for your heart, high-fiber, fortified, etc. etc. Like I
said, you never had a chance . . .
Realize right up front that the problem is
not merely extra body fat. Prevalence of chronic disease
is growing every year. Diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, asthma,
arthritis and on and on and on. these problems and many many
more are running rampant in our country and the modern world
because people are eating incorrectly. Their bodies are
dysfunctional because they're feeding themselves what Paul Chek
calls non-foods. These are food products that take
more energy and nutrients out of your body to metabolize than they give back.
They are dead processed foods that drain your health and vitality.
Here is what you should remember: Nothing has more impact
on your health than what you put into your mouth several times a
day each day of your life.
There is a solution, but it means you can't
go on feeding your body garbage, processed dead food, toxic
seafood and drinking chemically laden artificial sweetened crap
(sorry, but that is what it is). Cleaning up your diet takes
some effort, but I hope you'll realize that,
if you don't have your health, you
don't have squat.
